A. It's free to listen to episodes and Podcast apps are also free to download and use. In fact there may be a podcast application already installed on your smartphone. It does cost some money to produce a CanardCast however. There is recording equipment purchased to support the interviews, shipping costs for that equipment and fees associated with storing and publishing internet content that supports the CanardCast Interviews.
Q. How is a CanardCast produced?
A. Once we have an interviewee who would like to be features in an episode, we mail the recording package and instructions on how to use the equipment to the candidate. We host a series of planning meetings to tailor the interview questions and provide some training on how to use the equipment. Once the interview candidate receives the recording package, we schedule a date to record the interview. Once the interview is complete and the interviewee approves of the final recording, the equipment is sent back to Central States. The CanardCast is then edited and produced as a new Episode that gets scheduled for release in the future. Once a CanardCast is published, it will automatically appear on a distribution network called an RSS feed which means it's available on your library of Podcasts.
Q. How can I find the CanardCast Episodes?
A. In your Podcast Application, look for a Search function. Simply type in "CanardCast" and your application should return a link to our show and provide a way to listen to any episodes we've released.
